How did George Washington feel about our right to bear arms?

George Washington said the following: "Firearms stand next in importance to the constitution itself. They are the American people's liberty teeth and keystone under independence...".

Without these teeth we loose one more protection from tyranny taking over our nation. In other words: Free men have firearms, but those who have been enslaved do not!
